Rabbi Dr. Norbert Weinberg: Los Angeles, CA, United States; Rabbi Dr. Norbert Weinberg Co-founder of MEMORY IN ACTION ,THE INSTITUTE FOR RESEARCH, PRESERVATION AND ANALYSIS OF EXISTENTIAL SITUATIONS. His colleague in this project is Dr. Vladimir Melamed, noted historian of Eastern European Jewish history. Our research is accessible on www.pastfuturememory.org. Senior Rabbi at Hollywood Temple Beth El in the 1990’s, and again as of 2013. Foremerly, Director of the Center for Jewish Studies of the Histadrut ( Labor Union) at Bet Berl College in Israel as well as congregations in the US.He and his wife, Ofra, operated supplemental education services. He published Courage of the Spirit , a survey of the historical trends that impacted the Jews of 20th Century Europe( www.courageofspirit.com). He posts his essays on www.RabbiNorbert.com. Rabbi Weinberg has Rabbincal ordination, MA and DD honoris causa from the Jewish Theological Seminary, and his BA from New York University. He has also pursued graduate courses at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He is a member of the Rabbinical Assembly and the Board of Rabbis of Southern California.
